What is vyoo.it?

Vyoo.it is a real estate mobile marketing application designed to make online property listings accessible via the mobile web.

Why should I use it?

Most online real estate listings are not optimized for viewing on small screens. If your listing falls into this bucket, vyoo.it can generate a mobile-friendly landing page (called a "vyoo") along with a short link to make it accessible to mobile users. Non-mobile users will be seamlessly redirected to your standard listing page.

How much does it cost?

It's free! We expect to release premium features and products in the future, but for now there's no charge.

How do I sign up?

We use Facebook's single sign-on for registration and login. If you do not have a Facebook account, you can sign up for free here.

How do I create a vyoo?

All you need to do is provide a valid property address, a link to your online listing, and some additional information about the property. We'll try to extract the photos from your listing page, but if we can't, you can still provide URLs to additional photos.

Does it really work with any existing listing?

Yes, but better with some than others. If you use Postlets, we can extract all of the listing data and images directly.

Does it work for properties in Canada?

Unfortunately, not yet. Many of the web services used by the application work only for US-based addresses. We'll continue to explore ways to get around this.

What mobile devices do you support?

Although we can detect and identify most devices currently on the market, our mobile landing pages are currently optimized for the iPhone and Android-based devices. We do plan on creating optimized versions for Blackberry, Nokia and other smartphones.

What is a QR code? And what do I do with it?

A QR code is a two-dimensional bar code popularized in Japan and gaining increasing traction in the US (see how Google and Facebook are using them). Vyoo.it uses QR codes to store the vyoo short URL. Mobile users that have QR code scanners on their smartphones can snap a picture of a QR code on your flyer, print advertising or sign rider and immediately pull up your vyoo.

How do I share my link on social media sites?

Vyoo.it enables quick and easy sharing of your link on sites such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn (more to come) as well as through email. Just click on one of the icons on the Vyoo Details page and the rest should be straightforward.

How do I add photos?

You can add photos to your vyoo by providing links to where the images exist online. If your photos aren't currently online, you can upload them to a photo sharing service such as Photobucket, Flickr, Picasa or even Facebook.

Once uploaded, you will need to locate the link or URL to the photo. If this isn't provided or immediately obvious, you can right-click on the image you wish to use and select "Copy Image URL" (or "Copy Image Location", "Copy Image Address" or "Properties") from the menu. Paste this URL into the additional photos area on the Vyoo Details Edit page.

Can I customize my vyoo URL?

We're working on this and hope to release it soon.

Can I track visits to my vyoo?

We also plan to implement an analytics solution shortly. Stay tuned.
